The relays were on fire at the Belleville West Norm Armstrong Invitational
===================================
Although the weather was not fantastic on the East Coast, some notable performances occurred during the first "real" week of outdoor boys' track and field action.
Let's start with the sprints. Illinois Indoor Championship 60m gold medalist Will Landwer popped off a state-leading 10.60 in the Century dash, earning himself a PB and a school record in the process. Seven of the top ten 100m marks came from the mighty Belleville West Norm Armstrong Invite. Noah Feldt and Zion Morrison were in a dead heat at 10.64. Feldt was given the nod by less than a centimeter, 10.631 to 10.632!
Feldt, who was unheralded during the indoor season, has opened some eyes after dropping a state all-conditions 200m in 21.50w (+2.2). He once again defeated Morrison. It's too bad they will not meet in the state championship; they are in different classifications.
