Six of the first 10 and 11 of the following 20 marks are from the ultra-fast 3A Granite City Sectional. Remember that the course was a concrete mixture, reminiscent of California style cross country. Be as it may, fast is fast.
Recently, we praised the freshman class for being one of the best in years. The same can be said for this one.
Coming into the season, the target was on the back of Alex Krieg of Palatine. Krieg produced an introductory 15:05 and later placed among the top 100 at the IHSA State Championship. Krieg improved to 14:32 and made another appearance in the state championship.
