A fast group of boys streaming alongside Highway 29 in Peoria at the Richard Spring Invitational
==============================================
We are now four weeks into the competition season, and there is more than enough data compiled to view competent statistics. For example, Dylon Nalley recently dropped the fastest time in the state with a smoking time of 14:20. He would set the Richard Spring Invite meet record and the shortest time this early in IHSA history.
There are eight sub-14:30 marks, and we still have over a week remaining in the month. Last year, there were just two marks under 14:30.
There are 47 times under the benchmark 15:00; thus far, there are 53 with the season's peak upon us. We could see all-time numbers roll in when the official season concludes after the state championship in November.
It may take 14:45 to earn all-state in the largest classification- 3A division.
19 of the first 25 boys all have personal bests attached to their resumes.
