This Week's Nominees:
Daisha Brunson, Hoffman Estates (Conant): Won the 100m hurdles at the MSL West Girls Division Championship with a time of 13.77, topping a field of 23 competitors.
Cassidy Willis, Belleville (East): Swept the sprints at the Saint Clair County Girls Championship, clocking 11.78 to win the 100m and 24.91 to take the 200m. The #3 junior in Illinois in the 100 and #4 in the 200, she posted the top times of the week in both events among this week's competitors.
Kara Glenn, St. Charles (North): The top-ranked sophomore in the 800m ran 2:10.30 to win at the 49th Annual Kane County Girls Meet, leading a field of 23 runners.
Arisa Bisofa, Lake Zurich: Put together a strong throwing performance at the Girls Lake County Invitational, winning the discus with a mark of 145-11.75 and placing second in the shot put at 40-8. The top sophomore in Illinois in the discus, she ranks second among sophomores in the shot put.
London Willingham, Flossmoor (Homewood-F.): Claimed both sprint titles at the Carol Urich Invitational, running 24.45 in the 200m and 12.29 in the 100m. The top junior in the state in the 100 and second-ranked in the 200, she turned in the second-fastest 200m time of the week among all competitors.
Amyjia Robinson (Belleville West): Coming in as the second-ranked 300-meter hurdler, Robinson ran her second-best time, clocking 43.21 to win the Saint Claire County Championship. She also was victorious in the 100HH, running 14.95
