The youngsters take part in the recent Hinsdale Central Red Devil Invitational

The first full weekend of cross country action was good on all fronts in that we saw a ton of fast marks from all over the state. Among the fast and furious was the re-emergence of junior Mia Kotler of Chicago Latin who turned in a gem at the Red Devil Invite hosted by Hinsdale Central. Kotler won easily in a personal best 17:05.

There is another Keller on the scene and her name is Isabella Keller of Effingham St. Anthony. Keller is the younger sister of former great and four time IHSA 1A champion Anna Sophia Keller. Keller won in 17:10 at the Chrisman Cowchip Classic.

Of the 250 marks, it took 20:04 change to make the cut. As the season progresses, look for the bar to be raised.
