The 5000m is the standard cross country distance for boys nationwide. However, we traverse the three-mile expedition in Illinois more often than not. Fortunately, we can compete in enough invitationals and out-of-season or out-of-state meets to collect meaningful data for reputable lists.
On one such occasion during the post-season, the land of Lincoln runners performed very well at the MW Nike Cross Regionals. Downers Grove North, Plainfield North, and Plainfield South took the top three spots in Terre Haute, Indiana.
