2023 MileSplit IL Team Power Rankings-Week 1


1A Boys


1.     Rockford Christian Two class-leading performances for Bjorn Carlson (200 & 400m) and long distances by Weston Forward. Aidan Sosnowski and Camden Rosche contribute as well along with the 4x400 and 4x800m.

2.     Maroa Forsyth  Contributions from multiple sources. Harrison Guo (TJ #2 1A), Braxton Mitchell (60H/TJ), and Brady Larson (60H)  are some of the key culprits along with Brook Richards and Reece Peters in the 1600m. 

3.     Winnebago Supreme Muhammad has been supreme early on. He offers big contributions in the 60m, 200m, and long jump. The 'Bagos 4x200m relays is second in the classification, and Brady Schaller is a top three pole vaulter. 

4.     Champaign (Judah Christian) Who is Daryl Okeke? He's the classification leader in the 60m and 60H. His teammate Josiah Brown has the second fastest time in the classification for 60m.

5.     Springfield Lutheran It's Mason Kooi, the state leader in the high jump, classification leader in the triple jump, and second ranked long jumper in 1A currently. 

6.     Shelbyville The Rams lead the class in both the 4x200 and 4x400m relays, they have more in the tank individually. 

7.     Newton The Eagles' 4x400 and 4x800m relays are competitive along with the second-rated shot putter in the classification, Jacob Wickham. Owen Mahaffey is strong in the 400m. 

8.     Pleasant Plains Multiple contributors led by Earl Clark in the triple jump. Plains' 4x200 and 4x800m  are contributors along with Jack Willenborg (3200m) and Danny Skelton (60H).

9.      Pinckneyville Two state leaders in Isaac Teel (1600m) and the 4x800m.

10.    Bismarck (Bismarck-Henning-Rossville-Alvin) Two contributing sprint relays in the class third best 4x400 and fourth best 4x200m. Michael Hackman contributes in the 60 and 200m.
