2023 MileSplit IL Team Power Rankings-Week 1


2A Girls


1.     Kankakee- Suprised or not? The defending champions open up at the top. Super Sophomore Naomi Bey-Osborne carries a heavy load. She leads the class in the 400m and is number two in the 200m. 

2.     Chicago (Lindblom) Could this be Kennedy Ross' breakout year? she is a huge contributor in the triple jump, short dashes, and hurdles thus far. Symone Frison adds firepower along with the Eagles 4x200m.

3.     Rantoul- It's all Brianna Dixon! She is a top contributor in the 60, 60H, and 200m, and currently leads the class in the high jump.

4.     Arlington Heights (St. Viator) Emmi Scales leads the state in the 60H, she leads the class in the 60m and poses a threat in the 200m.

5.     Normal (University) It's been all relays this far. It's only a matter of time before Anna Barr explodes on the scene.

6.     Cahokia Junior Keymora Hayes leads the class in the long jump currently. She is a 200m threat as well. Relays haven't cracked the rankings yet, but Tenisa Ferrell (Shot Put ) and Valencia Davis have (Triple Jump).

7.    Chicago (South Shore International) A freshman dropping some early heat, Jordan Hamb is a four-event threat thus far.

8.     Chicago (Latin) It's Mia Kotler, she leads the class in the 1600 and 3200m run. 

9.     Peoria Richwoods So far it is the sprint relays carrying the squad, look for stars such as Lena Jackson to emerge soon.

10.    Anna Jonesboro They lead the class in the 4x800m, with more distance help from Zoe Jones and Brodie Denny.
