The herd was streaming in a fast like motion at the Hinsdale Central Red Devil Invitational
...
The first weekend of the season was a very good one as solid times trickled in from all over the state. Fast action started at the Plainfield City meet in which a bevy of fast marks were turned in. Plainfield South senior Camyn Viger led the charge with a strong performance. He clocked 14:36 proving that his fitness training is right where it needs to be.
No matter how you slice it or what you think of the Granite City Invitational, there were some very fast times turned in. One incredible effort was that of the "comeback kid" Dylon Nalley of Marion. Last year's top man turned in a US#1 three-mile time of 14:08!! It appears Nalley has kicked the injuries, sickness, and setbacks. Look for him to star at Detweiller Park in a few weeks at the Richard Spring Invitational.
