What To Watch For At All Boys' Conferences

Saturday --

Chicago Public League

Kenwood begins the defense of their indoor title against Lane but will have their work cut out for them with more events awarding the deeper Indian squad. Sidney Morris (Sr.) and Jahad Henderson (Sr.) continue to be key for the Broncos' sprints, can Demastanis Nikopoulos (Sr., Lane) break up that duo? Christopher Bergin (Sr., Lincoln Park), Dionta McDaniels (Sr. Harlan) and Armond Boulware (So., Kenwood) help make those sprints deep. Lane will close the gap on Kenwood in distance, especially with the help of Will Kozlowski (Jr.), Anan Bauman (Jr.), and Tommy Stecz (Sr.). Landan Gillespie (Sr., Kenwood) will be in the mix as well as Dalton Lowery (Sr., Whitney Young) and Mather duo Mo Abdullahi (Jr.) and Muhiyadin Ali (Sr.). Parrish Hartley (So., Kenwood) had one of the best early season long jump showings and will try to respond to others joining the leaderboard.

Western Suburban Silver

One of the deepest meets is headlined by one of the deepest teams, Oak Park River Forest. Liam Newhart (Sr.), Caleb Schulz (So.), and Josh Meister (Sr.) are the lead Huskies but there are so many more supporting them. OPRF matches up with Hinsdale Central, who will test out lineup choices for Dan Watcke (Sr.) and Aden Bandukwala (Jr.) ahead of sectionals. Joey Valeski (Sr., York), Jack Rempfer (Sr., Lyons), and Will DiSessa (Sr., Lyons) take aim at the younger Schulz in the sprints. Alfredo Pantoja (Sr., Proviso West) and Kaden Garland (Jr., OPRF) make for a great throws duel.
