We have seen many fast times at the Peoria Notre Dame Richard Spring Invitational over the years. It is hard to pinpoint the best year of a favorite year if you are a fan of the Richard Spring Invite. 2019 was a special year because it was the year when the legendary Craig Virgin's magical 13:50.6 was finally taken down after 50 years. Yes, Hersey superstar Josh Methner took it down with a breathtaking 13:49 at the state meet. Before that, though, was a blistering performance here in mid-September by Methner.
