Breakdown: Ana-Liese Torian broke out with a dominating win in the high hurdles at the 3A state meet. The daughter of the great Reggie Torian, Ana-Liese is rounding into one of the best in the history of the event. She was the only athlete under 14 seconds in 2022. That will likely change this year with Macee Rivers hot on her heels. These two athletes are projected to be in their own class to start the year but the next tier is full of hurdlers ready to jump into the upper tier.

2A state champion Brianna Dixon will see Ali Rapps in some big-time affairs. The pair had a tough battle in their 1-2 finish in Charleston. Also, keep an eye on Rivers' classmate Janaysia Byrd. There are just nine athletes who enter the season with times under 15 seconds so there will be some new names popping up in this event.

Grace Nelson is a super talent with basketball and now track. She was the 1A runner-up but don't overlook her because of the classification. She is going to be heard loud and clear in 2022.
