The team aspect of track and field are relays. Of course, the crown jewel is the 4x800m relay as it had at one time been in a national record position (2000). Don't forget about the 1976 IHSA State Championship in which the 4x8 race is the greatest single best race in the history of state track and field. It's going to be another great season in 2022.
The sprint relays will not be in the rearview mirror. With a full season of training and racing, we look forward to seeing greatness in the 4x1, 4x2, and 4x4 relays.
