Girls: #9 Chicago Latin was the official host school despite the meet being at Lake Forest Academy on a 5K oval. The meet was hosted on 10/24. Latin took the first three spots despite not having top runners, such as seniors Mia Kotler and Ellie Anderson.
Freshman Francesca Mora won in 19:01 and the team tallied 22 points.
Boys: Chicago Latin boys compete in 2A, so Rochelle Zell of Deerfield won the regional, scoring 57 points. Adin Gillers (Sr., Rochelle Zell) won in 16:41. Unfortunately, his team cannot compete in the sectional round due to the Sabbath. Their 2024 season is over.
Girls: Cecilia Hilby (Jr., Aurora Central Catholic) wins her first regional title with a time of 18:29; Aurora Central Catholic is a three-point winner over Chicago Christian w/51 points.
Boys: ACC takes the top three spots on the strength of Ben Bohr's (So) 15:44 effort; #7 ACC dominates with 19 points.
Girls: Kyla Babb (Jr., Westmont) runs a personal best 18:11 for 5K; #24 Montini scores 64 for the team victory.
Boys: Former junior high star Grady Smith (Fr., Johnsburg) wins his first postseason race, a four-second winner in 16:20; #2 Northridge Prep beats a good #10 Montini Catholic squad 32-47.
Girls: #4 El Paso-Gridley puts all five scorers in the top 10 and scores 38 points; Meghan Zopel (Sr., Peoria Notre Dame) wins the 5K in 19:32.
Boys: Max Kirby (So., PND) runs 15:57 and is the only runner under 16:00 at the rugged Donovan course at Bradley University. #3 Elmwood tips top-ranked Eureka 39-47.
Girls: Alaina Hawker (Jr., Pleasant Plains) breaks 18:00 for the first time w/17:54; unranked Pleasant Plains put five scorers in the top 10 for 24 points.
Boys: Elijah Teefey (Jr., Pleasant Plains) takes the victory lap in 15:52; #21 Pleasant Plains scores 33 points for the regional title.
Girls: Klaire Eighner (Sr., Maroa) is the winner in 18:08; #2 Williamsville wins easily, scoring 45 points.
Boys: #9 Clinton wins with 45 points; Coriell Green (So., Delavan) takes the title in 15:45
Girls: Defending state champ Isabella Keller (So., Effingham St. Anthony) was nursing a sore hip leading up to the meet but still ran a solid 16:50; Fairfield 50-53 over St. Anthony.
Boys: Cameron Roedl (So., Cumberland) is the winner in 15:54; #23 Cumberland's 68 points is more than good enough for the victory.
Girls: #3 Shelbyville takes the top three spots on the strength of Tessa Bowers' (Sr) win at 18:05; the Rams scored 29 points.
Boys: Evan Cook (Sr., Decatur St. Teresa) runs 15:06 to win the regional title; #24 Monticello gets by Decatur St. Teresa 91-97.
Girls: Kate Foltz (Jr., Tuscola) clocks a blistering 16:02 at the same Whimple Park course she ran 17:43 about a month ago. The word is the course has the same layout and is three miles away. Foltz will get an eye-opening test at sectionals; #7 Tolono Unity takes the team title with w/40 points.
Boys: David Hornaday (Sr., Tuscola) runs a PB 15:23 for the individual win; #12 Georgetown De La Sette puts all five scorers inside the top 20 and scores 49 points for the easy victory.
Girls: It wasn't much of a challenge for #1 Anna-Jonesboro, who "Blitzkrieged" the field by taking the top seven places. This is the only regional in the state such has happened- a perfect score! Jadyn Gerardi (So) slides home in 18:21.
Boys: Jaydon Miller (Jr., Massac County) runs 16:04 for the victory; Anna-Jonesboro's 29 points is more than enough for the win.
Girls: The course was listed at 2.98 miles, and Miah Gilmore (Sr., Murphysboro) won in 17:55; Murphysboro's 37 was good enough for the victory in a small field.
Boys: Senior Goob Mclain of Benton returns back to action and runs 14:41 for the win; Benton scores 31 points for the team title
Girls: Breigh Desmond (So., Belleville Althoff) rolled past a solid field with a time of 18:10; #11 Father McGivney tallied 44 points for the win.
Boys: Evan Eberhart (Sr., Nashville) stalked himself to a big win by over 20 seconds with a time of 15:31. #25 Roxana scored 45 points for the regional title.
Girls: Winnebago wins another regional title, putting five girls in the top 7 and two more in the top 15 to score 21 points.
Boys: Nicolai Martino (Sr., Winnebago) clocks 15:51 for 5000m; #4 Winnebago scores 38 points for the win.
Girls: Emily Downing (Jr., Cambridge) runs 17:44 for the easy win; Stark County wins by two points over Sherrard 56-58
Boys: Kewanee-Wethersfield scores 61 points and wins by 10 points; Braeden Bode (Jr., Port Byron Riverdale) wins the title with a time of 15:42.
Girls: #21 Seneca is victorious with 45 points. Bethany Sennett (So., Princeville) is the winner with a time of 19:52.
Boys: #17 Princeville is a 40 winner with 41 points.
