2A 

Boys: It was a close battle between #6 St. Ignatius and Chicago University. The Wolfpack packed five scorers in the top 10 and won 27-32.

Girls: #1 St. Ignatius hardly exerted true effort in demolishing the field; the Lady Wolfpack put its entire top seven among the top 10 for 22 points. Junior Annika Swan won in 18:30.

Boys: The meet was run at Katherine Legge Memorial Park, listed at 2.9 miles. It was a great battle with three of the state's top runners: Finn Richards (Sr., Benet Academy), Thomas Jochum (So., Glenbard South), and Luis Flores (Sr., St. Laurence). Richards ran 14:24 for the "W." #7 Marmion Academy scored 82 points for the team win.

Girls: Sophomores Erin Hinsdale and Elena Mamminga go 1-2 in 17:15 for Wheaton St. Francis,

Boys: #4 Chicago Latin beat #1 Chicago Payton again, albeit not against the Grizzlies' best effort or at full power. Payton's top guy, junior Tra'Monti Williams, did not compete. Some of the others appeared to cruise. On the other hand, Latin came to play. Senior Ben Gibson and freshman Micah Weiss legged out 15:21 and 15:22 efforts. All five Romans were 15:50 or faster in the 18-point attack.

Girls: Molly McGreal (Jr., Trinity) won in 17:55, but #3 Depaul College Prep took the next six spots, running 40 seconds apart and dropping 20 points.

Boys: Jesse Kramer (Sr., Belvidere North) took the win in 15:07; #3 Dixon just got by #8 Kaneland 44-46

Girls: #4 Rockford Boylan wins decisively with 26 points. Senior Reese Kohnle leads the team attack in 18:05

Boys: Jiberil Lesman (Sr., Chicago Lake View) missed an opportunity to win a league title last weekend, but he captured his first regional gold medal, running 15:22. Notre Dame wins by scoring 48 points.

Girls: Izzy Bing (Sr., Carmel Catholic) wins by 23 seconds in 17:32; #15 Carmel Catholic just gets past #16 St. Viator 66-69.

Boys: Ellery Shutt (Jr., Lakes) takes the victory in 14:53; #10 Crystal Lake Central scored 49 points by placing five scorers in the top 20.

Girls: Rosalyn Gonzalez (Sr., Antioch) won in 18:05; #5 Crystal Lake South put four in the 10 to score 38 points.

Boys: Marion twins Gabriel Greer and Raphael Greer go 1-2 (15:28, 15:29) on Southern IL University's 5000m course. The #18 Wildcats repeat as regional champions, scoring 65 points.

Girls: #10 Waterloo is led by winner Cameron Crump (Sr.), who runs 18:31 for the win. The Bulldogs take the title by seven points over Carterville with 43.

Boys: Max Weber (Jr., Civic Memorial) runs a strong 14:34 for 2.9 miles. His win enabled his #21 Eagle mates to squeeze out a 66-68 victory.

Girls: #2 Chatham-Glenwood is ready for a state championship, and the Titans take care of business, scoring 30 points=
2+4+5+9+10 (13+21).... Brooke Zeibert (Sr., Rochester) runs 17:15 for the victory.


Boys: #5 Mahomet-Seymour is an easy winner for the regional title. The Bulldogs put all five scorers inside the top 15 and scored 56 points. Caleb Mathias (Jr., Champaign Central) wins by 14 seconds in 15:14.

Girls: Farah Scott (So., Champaign Centennial) wins her first regional title in 18:33; #18 Mahomet-Seymour gets the team title with 64 points.

Boys: Chicago Brother Rice won the team title, scoring 40 points. Top dog senior Gavin O'Connor who ran 14:42 earlier this season, was in complete relax mode, running 16:33.

Girls: Oak Forest leads the advancement to the sectional round after placing all runners in the top 25, led by senior Andrea Camacho's winning effort.

Boys: Washington senior Ben Gorsage leads a 1, 2, and 6 attack, but it was not good enough to stop #2 Morton, who scored 33 points. Gorsage ran 15:17 and won his first regional.

Girls: #8 Washington rolls past the field by putting five runners in the top 10, scoring 33 points. Junior Sophia Ramirez wins in 18:07.

Boys: The upstart Cuyler Swanson (So., Morris) runs 15:12 and defeats his brother Everett Swanson (So) by 13 seconds. #9 Normal University put four runners in the top 10; the fifth runner was 12th. The final tally would be 38 points.

Girls: Sunny Weber ( Sandwich) and Zoe Carter (Sr., Normal University) engaged in the first of three straight head-to-head clashes. Carter cut the depth between them to 10 secs 16:39-16:49.
