As pundits every year, we say, "This could be one of the best ever years in the field events." Well, the truth of the matter is the field events on the girl's side have been above average for quite a while, and they are bordering on greatness.
We have seen performers excel nationally in the triple jump, shot put, and long jump. It appears on the surface that the pole vault could be holding the mantle throughout the indoor season.
