2023 MileSplit IL Team Power Rankings-Week 2


1A Boys

1. Catlin (Salt Fork)- The Storm blows to the top of the rankings. Ace sprinter Nathan Kirby leads the class at 200m, second in 60H and a threat in the 60m. Garrett Taylor is back, he's second-ranked in the 1A shot put. The Storm 4x200m is a threat. 

2.  Rockford Christian- The Royal Lions drop a spot. Bjorn Carlson is still strong, he leads 1A in 400m. Weston Forward is the distance ace. 

3. Shelbyville- The Rams lead the class in the 4x200 and 4x400m relays currently. Gage Smith (60H) and Ty Brachbill (HJ) provide individual help. 

4. Eureka- The Hornets can sting with Charlie Bardwell (800m) and a 1A number two 4x800m. 

5. Springfield Lutheran - It's Mason Kooi still carrying the load. US#3 in the HJ and good in the LJ and TJ

6. Champaign (Judah Christian)Josiah Brown is in the 60m mix to pair with the exploits of Daryl Okeke.

7. Bismarck (Bismarck-Henning-Rossville-Alvin)- A team that could rise. Michael Hackman is top three in 1A for the 60 and 200m dashes. Their 4x200m is relevant. 

8. Maroa Forsyth  Harrison Guo (TJ) and Brady Larson (60H) lead the charge, Braxton Mitchell isn't too far behind (60H + TJ).

9. WinnebagoSupreme Muhammad is waiting to burst out, and Brady Schaller is in the pole vault threat. 

10. Newton The relays (4x400-4x800m) are important along with Jacob Wickham in the shot put and Owen Mahaffey in the 400m.
