--An idle Kankakee allowed E. St. Louis Sr to take over the top spot this week. The Flyers completed their mission at the SIU HS Invite. Speedster Kenneth Buchanon (So) appears as though he is on the way to becoming the next Flyers star. Buchanon won the 60 (7.04) and 200 (22.42). Teammate Demarlynn Taylor (Jr) moved into the IL#2 60H position with a time of 8.29. Shot putter Samuel McClain compliments the field event arena with his 55-6.5 effort.
Depaul Prep enters the scene on the strength of a very good distance crew. The Rams have the top 4x800 in the classification as well as a trio of top individuals in Mac Kittrell, Charlie Richardson, and Owen Flom.
A deep Burlington Central team is loaded in all three relays which enabled them to be among the elite corps. Distance runner Yusuf Baig (Sr) is in the top five of the classification's 3200 and 1600 runs.
