Lyons Township and Naperville North are two of the top overall teams in the multi-class field meet

Here are the overall opening thoughts: This will be a significant weekend on several fronts. First, this will be the 20th anniversary of the 911 terrorist attacks on US soil. It will be an emotionally charged moment for many in attendance. The meet sponsor FTTF has pledged to make the day a wonderful experience for all. The second is this will be the first time invites have been run at Detweiller since 2019. It is easy to think everyone in person is going to enjoy and remember this special occasion.
Though the temperatures are expected to rise from 72F in the morning for the opening Class A races, it will be more than a state championship dress rehearsal at the peak of the day around 2p when the Mercury may hit close to 90F. The coaches will undoubtedly have their work cut out managing their teams.
