There was plenty of action throughout the state over the weekend to choose from
For the second straight weekend, some quality cross country action was to decide the athlete of the week. This time it's junior Drew Rogers of Herscher that won the prestigious MileSplit Illinois athlete of the week. Rogers garnered 36.4% of the 307 ballots cast. He narrowly beat out Ryan Watts of Edwards 112-101.
Rogers debuted his 2020 campaign during the middle of the week at home during the Herscher ICE Tri-meet in which he won by two minutes in IL#1 14:38 for three-miles! Roger's very impressive run comes off the heels of a 1600 PB (4:15.73).
