Illinois high school track and field athletes recorded several personal bests during competition the week of April 20.
Alynn Bledsoe (Plainfield North) won the 3200 meters in 11:27.10 at the Plainfield North Girls vs Plainfield Central meet on April 21. The senior improved from her previous best of 13:36.20 set in March 2025. The time ranks #81 in Illinois and #26 among state seniors.
Alonzo Harris (Country Club Hills Hillcrest) clocked 11.00 in the 100 meters at the District 228 Boys Quad on April 21, winning the event against 32 other competitors. The mark improves on his previous personal record of 12.29 from May 2025 and ranks #106 in the state.
Erick Roman (Belvidere North) threw 167-5 in the discus at the Rockford East Triangular on April 21, setting a school record and winning the competition. The senior improved from his previous best of 145-10.5 and now ranks #25 in Illinois and #10 among state seniors.
Ranyah Davis (Rockford Guilford) ran 12.57 in the 100 meters at the Belvidere NIC 10 Co-Ed meet on April 21, placing fifth out of 55 competitors. The freshman improved on her previous mark of 13.45, set in April 2026, and ranks #145 statewide and #13 among freshmen.
Zoe Milder (Morrison) clocked 15.92 in the 100m hurdles at the 49th Annual Fulton Lady Steamer Invitational on April 21, winning the event and setting a school record. The freshman improved from 16.93 and ranks #70 in Illinois and #8 among freshmen.
Angel Vazquez (Summit Argo) won the discus with a throw of 145-1.25 at the Reavis Tri meet on April 21. The junior improved from his previous best of 125-11 and ranks #147 in the state and #23 among juniors.
Payton Bridgeman (Pekin) finished second in the shot put at the Lanphier Invite on April 25 with a throw of 50-8. The mark improves on his previous personal record of 44-7 and ranks #100 among Illinois athletes.
