The team titles could be close with Yorkville's Owen Horeni in the 800, 1600, and 4x400 relay. He will need to surpass Philip Cupial of Downers Grove North. HF has relays, TJ, and long hurdles in their docket.
13:17 Individual outlook: Geneva's Bennett Konkey is the marked man all weekend!! Look for him in the 100 and 200 dashes. Daylin Donaldson of Belleville East took the all-time record down in the 300H. Can he do it at the state meet? Daniel Robinson appears to be at his best. His action says yes to threatening the long jump record... Cupial is locked and loaded and ready to ball out in the 4x800r and the 1600. The 3200 will be a chess match with Samuel Assefa of Chicago Lane Tech and the field: second section and the boss section. Watch out for the 4x400 relay!!!! The shot put will be good, led by Logan Abrams of Cary-Grove.
