2025 MileSplit IL Boys Pole Vault Watch List

FULL RETURN LIST

===================

The incomparable Paul Migas and seven others in the top ten graduated last year. On the surface, that appears to be grave news. However, there is a big positive light at the end of the tunnel. Bloomington Catholic HS superstar junior Isaiah Whitaker performed well despite suffering a broken wrist during last winter's middle portion. He was not able to compete at the Illinois Top Times Championship. He still finished the undercover season with a personal best 17'0.75."

There are some notables that we present below-

Lukas Brauc (Sr., Oak Park-River Forest): A solid 2024 season has already turned into a fantastic 2025 campaign, vaulting 16'10" in only two competitions. Will be motivated in assisting the Huskies with repeat team title hopes.

Nathan McLoughlin (Sr., St. Charles North): Not as well known as the other top performers, but still very good and ready to vault to the top of the charts. 3A runner-up at Top Times is a plus; third in the outdoor state meet.

Andrew Nuyen (Jr., Rochelle): A 15'6" performer very early in the portion of the preseason and on his way to stardom.

Parker Owens (Fr., Edwardsville): The word has been out on the burgeoning star for over a year now. Owens has not had an official school competition and has already cleared 16 feet (16'3" to be exact).

TJ Girzadas (Sr., Chicago Marist): Several meet performances over 15' including a PB 15'8." Girzadas has had some issues being consistent in big meets. If he can get over the hump in that department, he will be fine.
