Quick overview: The purple colors of the Downers Grove North girls and boys will be in full force for the top-ranked programs. With the temperatures expected to be in the low 60s and perhaps upper 50s for the championship races, this will be a welcome relief for many runners.

Thoughts: The DGN boys took a sizable break from major competition like last year. They would go on to win convincingly with 81 points. Can the Trojans do the same thing again? Plainfield North will have its best chance to win now that its top runners are back.

For the girls, The Lady Trojans of DGN look to dominate this affair, and they should do so if they can continue their solid pack running. They won with 37 points last year. Defending champion Mia Kotler (Sr., Chicago Latin) will not defend her title.
