Chicago Latin Regional

Boys: Bryan Malkowski (Sr., Chicago Depaul Prep) wins his first regional title (15:34). Chicago Payton takes the team title w/o its two top runners Gavin Lee (Sr.) and Gabriel Cooper (Jr.), the Grizzlies hung on over Depaul 39-40.

Girls: Juliana Gamboa (Fr., Oak Park Fenwick) took the regional title in 18:01; #6 Depaul Prep won easily with 37 points.


Chicago (St. Ignatius) Regional

Boys: Rocco Cipolla (Sr., Evergreen Park) wins the title on a 2.98 mile course in a time of 15:47; Chicago St. Ignatius wins the title with the junior varsity roster, scoring 26 points.

Girls: St. Ignatius easily won their regional and sat most of their regulars (18 pts). Freshman Mary O'Reilly is the victor in 19:30.


River Forest (Trinity) Regional

Boys: it was a good battle between Finn Richards (Jr., Benet Academy) and Luis Flores (Sr., St. Laurence). Richards held on for the win in 15:16.

Highland Regional

- Boys: Max Weber (So., Civic Memorial) wins his 3rd straight race, this one by 10 secs with a time of 15:21; #20 Civic Memorial wins the title with 56 points.

Girls: #12 Waterloo put four runners inside the top five and four in the top 10 to win w/32 points; Cameron Crump (Jr., Waterloo) wins the individual race in 18:16.


Dolton (Thornridge) Regional

Boys: Gavin O'Connor (Jr., Chicago Brother Rice) grabs the win in 16:08; Oak Forest takes the team title with 47 points.

Girls: Niki Tselios (Jr., Lemont) runs 19:19 to win the title; Lemont scores 44 points for the win.


Olney (Richland County) Regional

Boys: The state's #1 runner Dylon Nalley (Sr., Marion), breaks the course record by almost a minute in 14:33; #11 Marion scores 31 points for the team title.

Girls: Brooklynn Sweikar (Sr., Champaign Centennial) runs 18:51 to win the regional title; Centennial is the team winner with 42 points.


Normal University Regional

Boys: Mason Hart (Sr., Normal U) is an 11-second winner with a time of 15:29; #12 Mt. Zion tallies 55 points for the team win.

Girls: Becca Heitzig (Sr., Lincoln) loses her first race of the season. Natalie Bierbaum (So., Normal U) has been running well all season, and she gets the easy win in 17:34. Heitzig places fourth in 18:34; #1 Chatham-Glenwood puts all scorers in the top 10 and scores 27 points.


Maple Park (Kaneland) Regional

Boys: Evan Nosek (Jr., Kaneland) 15:24 is the time and the spoils of victory; #7 Marmion Academy beats #9 Kaneland 44-48

Girls: They call her "Sunny," but it's officially Sundara Weber (So., Sandwich), and she is the regional winner in 17:35. #8 Wheaton St. Francis takes the title with 51 points.


Woodstock North Regional

Boys: Ishan Patel (Sr., Woodstock) clocks 15:50 to win the race; #6 Woodstock puts all five scorers in the top 10 and scores 25 points.

Girls: #9 Crystal Lake South takes the title over Central 41-58; Hadley Ferrero (Jr., Crystal Lake Central) is the individual winner in 19:13


Lake Villa (Lakes) Regional

Boys: Trey Sato (Sr., Grayslake Central) continues to cruise along; this time, he runs 14:47 for the win; #8 Prairie Ridge's 37 points is 27 better than Lakes.

Girls: Ava Henne (So., Grayslake Central) holds on to win in 18:13; #2 Grayslake Central cruises to the win w/35 points


Metamora Regional

Boys: Cuyler Swanson (Fr., Morris) wins in 15:09 on the 2.95 mile layout; #14 Washington upends top-ranked but short-handed Morton 24-75

Girls: All five #3 Washington scorers were in the top 10, including the winner Sophia Ramirez (So.) in 17:42.


Galesburg Regional

Boys: Dale Johnson (Sr., Sterling) is a 16-second winner with a time of 15:44; #18 Sterling scores 43 points to win the team title.

Girls: Katie Sell (Jr., Dunlap) runs 19:02 for the win; #10 Dunlap scores 31 points for the win.
