-The top three teams remain intact. Geneseo did not have any eye-popping performances but they did rise up to any classification challenges. Team leaders Annie Wirth (Jr) and Ali Rapps (Sr) won their usual events: long jump, high jump, and hurdles at the Geneseo Girls Invite. The Maple leafs copped a class-leading 4x4 (4:06.56).
Kankakee had a much-needed break from the competition after doing double duty during the past several weekends.
Normal University saw several big performances from their distance corps last week. Delaney Fitzgerald (Sr) placed second in the Distance Night in Palatine 3200m. Zoe Carter (Fr) had the second fastest mark for classification 1600m performers. The Pioneers produced the top class 4x100 (49.43), third best 4x200 (1:47.38), and second best 4x400 (4:12.20).
