Outlook: A once strong and powerful event may struggle a bit this season. There are only 12 returners under 15.00 but it's an opportunity for many emerging athletes to find their lane and succeed. Gabe Czako is the top returner with a time of 14.10 that he achieved at the IHSA 3A state meet. As good as he has been, hurdles are a dangerous event and one stumble can open the door for someone like the vastly improved Jalen Johnson. Luke Myszka is a force to watch for as well.
