Outlook: Battle departed for the University of Arkansas which leaves a huge excitement gap for the fans. There is only one returner under 49.00 and that's Maxwell Mitchell who ran 48.81. He only took 9th at state but was part of a team state championship. 3A runner-up Evan Gronewold touched 49.01. He has an opportunity to make a personal statement and do something big this spring. Austin Cabanban took fourth in the 3A state meet but he is underrated. Look for him to be a wrecking force for his team's 4x4 relay hopes... Daniel Lacy could be someone to watch this spring after making a huge leap in last summer's circuit.
