2021 MileSplit IL Power Rankings: Week 4

Lincoln-Way East jumps up to the top spot this week for the first time this season. The Griffins have been quietly putting up some top-level performances within the classification. Led by junior ace Mariam Azeez on the track and in the field, the team appears to be on its way to showcase top athletes in a variety of events.

Grayslake Central didn't veer too far from the top and holds the number two spot. Thrower Julia Reglewski and distance runner Bella Domier are as potent as ever.

Kenwood moves up on the strength of having two potent state-level threats in Asia Thomas and Sydney Weaver in full battle mode. Thomas recently ran one of the fastest times in the 100m in the state. Weaver dropped a season-best in the 200 and their 4x1 relay is one of the very best in Illinois.

Evanston continues to build its fortress on the strength of emerging talent.

Naperville North remains in the top five and are teams that have yet to play all their cards.

Homewood-Flossmoor and Whitney Young remain top ten with a lot of potential to move up in the coming weeks. Neuqua Valley stays in the top ten while Prairie Ridge and Normal Community enter the fray.
