2021 MileSplit IL Power Rankings: Week 2

The Narrative:
Minooka proved their strength after dominating at a good Prospect Wanner Invite. The Indians took two relays, the 4x8 is #1 in the state. Vincent Van Eck leads the charge as the team's distance ace. Elijah Martin and Cael Hiser contribute heavily in the sprints and relays.

Neuqua Valley is positioning itself as a threat to the Individuals down the road. We are seeing them experiment in different events with Maxwell Mitchell and Nicolas Dovalovsky leading the charge. Recently, they put together two 4x4's that broke 3:30 in the same meet! That's depth and it's important to have.

Edwardsville enters the rankings for the first time this season. The Tigers won the Belleville West Invite last weekend and did so convincingly. Superstar sprinter Brandon Battle put on a tremendous show in the 200 and 400 with state leading times. His quarter time of 47.56 is two seconds faster than the nearest competitor. The team's 4x100 is also #1 in the state.

Josh Duncan of St. Charles North leads his team in the sprints. Once the North Stars throwers get it going, they are going to be a trophy threat.
