-The Huskies strong suit is distance but they have won it all with an array of other event disciplines. Distance stars Audrey Mendrys, Josie Bond, and Maggie Gamboa will lead the way once again. They are already among the leaders in the 800, 1600, and 3200.
Whitney Young is once again a team to watch. Why? Twins Rachel Robinson and Sydney Robinson are slated to drop low times in the 100 and 200. They are also part of a deep 4x1 and 4x2 relay force.
Homewood-Flossmoor was the last state champion in 2019. Hurdlers Jasmyn Hunter and Ana Liese-Torian are top five returners. Long sprinter Alexandria Edison is the state's top returner in the 400. Look for the Vikings sprint relays to stick out in a dangerous position.
