Normal Community freshman and budding star Allison Ince is undefeated this season after winning her first four contests. However, until now she had yet to hit pay dirt in the athlete of the week category.
It was hard to overlook the resume that Ince put up including her most recent victory like the hallowed ground Detweiller Park 17:22 over the three-mile layout. Yes, the best is yet to come and when we will eventually get a full slate of the state's best harriers together- WATCH OUT!
It was a tough win in the ballot box for Ince who had to overcome the likes of Ava Parekh (Chicago Latin), Sophia McNerney (Downers South), and Aly Negovetich (Grant). Ince nabbed 260 votes (39.6%) to beat out McNerney who copped 218 (33.2%).
