Cahokia has bolstered its quarter-mile stock this season,n and they should be a force in 2A later in the season==================================
It's a shame that Austin Rowswell didn't make the list. The state's top quarter-miler missed the 2024 season due to injury, but as a comparison, he ran 48.25 in 2023. There is a strong suspicion that he will get into the 46s before the end of the season. It would have been fun to compare him to the eligible returners.
One of the most significant improvements is Carter Stroot, who ran in the mid-51s a year ago. His mark is virtually two seconds better at 49.53. It would be cool if he could drop another .50 plus and dip into the 48-second neighborhood.
Dallas Amos was a virtual nobody in 2024, running 50.26. That time is solid and certainly steady on someone's 4x4 relay. He enjoyed a strong indoor training and racing, and is now at 48.74.
