Allison Shutler had a tremendous indoor season, setting school freshman records in the 800, 1600, and 3200- captivating all age groups in the process. Shutler finished second to teammate junior Annika Swan in the 800 at the Schaumburg Invitational, dropping a personal best 2:15.16. She was the only performer under 2:20.
We are all waiting to see what the talented phenom Macy Ermitage has to offer. Coming into high school, she was one of the new faces to watch. Unfortunately, we weren't able to see much due to the injury. She showed a glimpse of the future after winning the Bruce Ritter Invite 3200 in 10:57.66.
Cloudine Nishimwe improved her stock in the shot put by several feet, throwing the ball 38'5'50" and now inching toward the goal mark of 40 feet. She is now over a foot better than the second-best performer in her class.
