Final Team Scores and Commentary
The trophy teams remain the same, but Prospect wins more comfortably on the strength of scoring in 12 different events. Downers Grove North, a well-rounded and deep team who had invitational prowess all year, finishes top-10.
The DGN sectional was the deepest sectional in the state this year, and the at-large process successfully gets very deserving Neuqua Valley and Plainfield North down state in addition to Naperville Central and DGN. Neuqua capitalizes and remains in the trophy hunt finishing fifth, and Plainfield North is on the periphery of top-10.
Excellent preliminary performances now have impact on the state place, with Whitney Young needing the 2 points they get from the 300 hurdles to steer clear of Huntley, for example.
