2024 MileSplit IL Team Power Rankings-Week 3

This classification can have a new team on top of the leaderboard on a weekly basis, yikes. The new team that sits number one this week is the Minooka Indians. Dejay Smith leads the class in the 60H, Nate George has been an in season multi-sport surprise addition to the team and has been rocking the leaderboards. Minooka's sprint relays are always in the mix.

Downers North moved up two spots. Ryan Eddington (distance) and Vince Davero (jumps) are individual leders for the Trojans while the 4x800m is amongst the state's best. The WSC Silver conference meet is this week, that meet typically produce top performances.

Edwardsville made the biggest jump in the rankings this week, because they can jump! Defending state triple jump champion Malik Allen leads the state, Devyon Hill-Lomax popped up and improved his personal best in the high jump by a whopping eight inches to pose as a threat in the event. Zach Lane has improved greatly from last season, he is an individual sprint threat at this point. Help should be on the way for the Tigers.

Kenwood has been idle since hosting their home indoor meet, many of their season bests hold strong. The big CPS meet is this weekend, we'll see if the Broncos can rev the engines up again.

Daniel Robinson (60m), Zac Close (Distance), Cooper McGinnis (60H), and Nick Pennington (Pole Vault) are individual threats for the Wildcats. With the DuPage Valley conference meet on the horizon, expect more solid performances for Neuqua Valley as they have the personnel to do so.
