MileSplit IL unveiled its track and field athlete of the week for the first time in nearly two years. The boys led off, and Dylon Nalley won in a diverse field. The standout senior from Marion took home his first honor.
Nalley debuted his season and produced one of the fastest two-mile/3200m races under all conditions for an Illinois boy. The Alex Wilson Invitational, hosted by the University of Notre Dame, presented a high school two-mile race called the "Golden Dome Two-Mile." In it, Nalley ran a chilling 8:50.47 to take fourth overall (US#4). It also ranks #6 in state annals.
