1A Indoor Rankings I Top Times Meet Page
Initially, it wasn't certain if she would run any indoor meets after coming off one of the best cross country seasons in state history. Freshman sensation Isabella Keller of Effingham St. Anthony ran into December, where she competed and placed eighth at the Nike Cross Nationals.
With the pressure of high-caliber pre-season invites, which are often like championship events, athletes may not be physically or mentally prepared.

Keller, a competitor swimmer like the rest of her siblings, was able to maintain good shape during the early part of off-season training. In her high school debut at the Mt. Zion Co-Ed Meet #2, she competed in two events: second in the 800 (2:19.81) and first in the 1600 (4:58.58).
At the Illinois Top Times, Keller entered two events and produced a masterful split decision. She set the class 3200 record with a state-leading 10:19.03). Several hours later, against competitor Elena Rybak (Jr., Father McGivney), Keller fought like a champion but came up short, but recorded the third fastest time in the state, 4:54.84.
For Keller's efforts at the Illinois Top Times, she was voted athlete of the meet by the public vote. Check out the results below:
