Somebody You Should Know: Reggie Torian The Great

The great Reggie Torrian breaking down some of the humble greatness that he created as a student-athlete

======

Before a superstar basketball and track star at Homewood-Flossmoor HS named Ana-liese Torian was born, her father, Reggie Torian, was building a piece of the family legacy. Before Reggie, the track star was his father, Reginald Torian, the lead singer of the Impressions.

Reggie Torian was in attendance at the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track & Field Center as a guest during the Badgers Windy City Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin.

As a freshman, Torian, a multi-star at South Holland Thornwood High School, started humbly looking for the water polo team. Unfortunately, for the T-Birds athletic program, there was not one. Instead, he met the legendary Gary Haupert as a coach and became the greatest athlete in school history.

The multiple-state track champion went on to star in track and football at the University of Wisconsin and had a stint in the pro ranks.

We were honored to meet Reggie Torian and wish him the best in his future endeavors.
