They are more like Brother and sister rather than teammates: Devontae and Madison are amazing together
Devontae Ford and Madison Hardamon are having the time of their lives as student-athletes at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. Ford is formerly from E. St. Louis Sr HS and Hardamon is from Evanston HS- both former outstanding prep performers.
Ford is a second-year Information Data Science major who one day hopes to command a Fortune 500 company boardroom. On the track, he earned Big 10 honors during the 2023 indoor season as part of the team's fourth-place Distance Medley Relay (DMR). The 400m Hurdles may be his best event in which he clocked 51.93 and an eventual 8th place finish at the 2022 Big 10 Outdoor Championship.
Hardamon is a freshman business major with the dream of running her own company one day. So far in her first semester of competing with the team, she is earning her keep including a notable PB 55.31 performance in the 400m. She earned all Big 10 Conference honors in the DMR and 4x400 relay.
