REGISTRATION/MEET INFORMATION

The indoor track & field season has yet to materialize, but assembling some of the best talent is in progress. The 2023 edition of the CYUP Misfits Invitational proved to be an enormous affair that buzzed during the aftermath for a long time.

Check out key entrants heading into 12/8:

Boys-

Trey Sato (Sr., Grayslake Central IL): He has molded himself into one of the elite distance runners in the state, from track to cross country and back on the track. Sato has run 1:53.10 and 4:12.74 last year. Look for him in the HOKA Mile and ready to contend.

Grady Lenn (So., De Pere, WI): One of the Badger state's top young talent, Lenn 9:09.65 in the 3200m as a freshman (US#2 freshman) last year. He is entered in the mile and 2 mile.

Max Malloy (Jr., Elkhart, IN): He clocked 4:15.36 last year, one of the fastest times in the Hoosier land. Malloy will be a name to be reckoned with in 2024.

Jaden Merrick (So., Cedar Falls, IA): Here is another rising sophomore whose 9:12.88 was a freshman. Merrick will be in the 2mile. 

Paul Migas (Sr., Lakes, IL): All-American pole vaulter ready to become America's prep vaulter this season. He recently cleared a monstrous 17-0.75 indoors. 

Girls-

HOKA MILE WATCH LIST: Rachel Forsyth (Sr., Ann Arbor, MI), Scout Storms (Jr., Barrington, IL), Josefina Rastrelli (Sr., Elkhart IN), Elyse Wilmes (Jr., Father Tolton Catholic, MO), Kayleigh Norris (Jr., Harrisonville, MO), Annika Swan (So., Chicago St. Ignatius IL)- things are brewing into something special with more top-rated girls on the rise. The girls above have run 4:55 or better and will still have over a month to register!

Olivia Pace (Sr., Westerville Central OH): US#1 in the 60m at 7.45. Pace has committed to USC, so you know she is the real deal. Look for her in the 300m as well at the Misfits.

Daisha Brunson (So., Hoffman Estates Conant): Clocked the fastest ever 100H by a freshman in IL history last year when she ran 13.97. The 3A state champion has also run the 200m in 24.30.

Mya Strahm (Jr., Elmwood): After missing the 2023 indoor regular season because of injury, Strahm returned late in the outdoor season to win the state title. She also won the AAU crown and recently vaulted 13-7 to become the all-time performer indoors at the RISE Indoor series.

Chelsea Wetzel (Sr., Dunlap): Another 13-foot plus performer and state champion. Wetzel has committed to the University of Illinois.
