Jacksonville Sectional

Boys: Dylon Nalley (Sr., Marion) continues to set course records every time out, and he demolished the Jacksonville Community Park 2.9 mile record by over 30 seconds with a time of 13:37. #4 Normal University gets by #9 Marion 70-78.

Girls: The multi-talent duo sport athlete Becca Heitzig (Sr., Lincoln) avenged her only defeat on the season with an exact performance- winning in 16:26. #1 Chatham-Glenwood had their way with the field, scoring 40 points (all five runners inside of the top 15).


Geneseo Sectional

Boys: #6 Morton scored 70 points to easily the title over #13 Washington, who copped 100 pts. Dale Johnson (Sr., Sterling) rolls by 24 seconds in 15:10. 

Girls: Niki Tselios (Jr., Lemont) wins her first sectional title with a time of 18:47; #2 Washington put three runners in the top 10 led by Jayne Hermann's (So.) fourth place, the Panthers scored 53 points.


River Forest (Trinity) Sectional

Boys: It was Matthew Conroy (Sr., Chicago St. Ignatius) over Finn Richards (Jr., Benet Academy) 15:13-15:18 for the individual title. On the team side of the game, #2 Glenbard South beat #1 Lisle Benet Academy 55-57 in what is considered the top sectional in the state.

Girls: Annika Swan (So., Chicago St. Ignatius) wins the race by over 40 seconds in 17:34. #4 St. Ignatius took care of business with five girls in the top 15 and scored 43 points. The Wolfpack are legitimate trophy candidates.


Woodstock Sectional

Boys: Trey Sato (Sr., Grayslake Central) cruises to victory in 15:36; #7 Aurora Marmion Academy barely gets past #8 Kaneland 101-105. 

Girls: Sundara Weber (So., Sandwich) cruises to victory with a time of 18:15; #3 defending state champion Grayslake Central takes home the win w/83 points.
