-Kankakee reclaims the top spot after a brief hiatus. The Lady Kays post sectional mode of attack appears to be the sprint relays, which leads the classification. They also look to gain some individual contributions from their sprints squad in addition to current long jump leader Na'Kyrah Cooks. Geneseo has been on the big stage before with their big-name athletes in Ali Rapps and Annie Wirth. Last year's state runner-ups will touch down in Charleston with the hope of improving last year's finish by one spot.
