-Unfavorable weather has not yielded the eye-popping marks usually associated with this classification. Still, Lincoln-Way East is a team that must be taken very seriously. The defending state champions have Mariam Azeez (Sr) leading the state in the long jump (18'10"). In time we will see what happens in the relays, hurdles, and more with the Griffins.
You have seen what Huntley has achieved in the field events courtesy of the sister duo Dominique Johnson (Fr) and Alex Johnson (Jr). They have been atop the triple and long jump stats through the indoor season. It's still relatively early but we expect to see them clear 40-feet and 20-feet in the long and triple jumps.
Evanston is beginning to piece things together and could be a power player in the trophy standings in late May. The Wildkits return a wealth of experience that has shown in the 4x1, 4x2, and 4x4 relays. Abrielle Artley (Jr) and Madison Hardamon (Sr) lead the way.
