1A Girls

1.  Tuscola

-Tuscola moves into the top spot as we are in the thick of the indoor season. Senior Alyssa Williams has the spotlight on her because she is an elite sprinter now- top mark in the 200m (24.98) and fifth in the 100m (12.22). Williams also has command of the long jump. Freshman Lia Patterson has moved in and complimented Williams. She ranks second in the classification in the 200 and 100H but second in the state in the 300H with a 45.27. There are also relays 4x100 and 4x200 relays among the top five.

Faith Deering (Sr) is the state leader in the discus throw with a toss of 140'3" which effort will be needed down the stretch of the state championship for Seneca. Her teammate Anna Bruno (Jr) is among the classification leaders in the long jump. Add in another top-notched field eventer Teagan Johnson (So) in the pole vault. She has cleared over 11-feet in the early portion of the season. 

Powerhouse program Duquoin still has something to prove. The Indians are the classification leader in the 4x4 and 4x4 relays. Senior leaders Grace Alongi and Olivia Phillips will be strong in the 400-1600 runs. Alongi has met the triple jump with success this season.
