-One of the biggest stories of the entire weekend was how team-oriented Kankakee was amongst a group of individual star power. It started with Neveah Lowe (Jr.) and Naomi Bey-Osborne (Fr) who provided the ammo that defused the competition from any threats. Lowe placed second in the 60m and won the 200m. Bey Osborne was second in the one-lapper. Both girls were on the winning 4x200 relay that won the weekend. However, the fact that most missed the fact that four Kays ran in the 60m dash- and placed! Three placed in the 200m and the 4x400. Oh, Na'Kyrah Cooks (So) was second in the long jump.

Geneseo did not have its superstar Annie Wirth (Jr) in the field and relay duties. Ali Rapps (Sr) was on the scene and put the team on her back with a third-place finish in the 60H and fourth in the 400m. The 4x200 and 4x400 relays also earned medals.
