-Post-conference weekend things are tightening up a little bit. The champion Griffins are still number one, but there are some strong suitors who will look to challenge them, led by their conference rival Homewood-Flossmoor and their do it all speedster in Alexandria Edison. The Vikings have been holding down the #2 spot for quite some time, word is that some reinforcements are on the way.
Huntley is a team most did not mention in the early going, the duo of sisters Alex Johnson and Dominique Johnson is setting the horizontal runways ablaze, their jump exploits make the Red Raiders a trophy contender.
Kenwood, the reigning Chicago Public League champion showed they have some pieces many didn't know about. With the emergence of relatively unknown speedster Jaliyah Shepherd (IL#3 60m), plus the return of junior Asia Thomas (IL#3 400m) and mainstay Sydney Weaver, the Broncos have some pieces in the stable they look put together.
Evanston, Prospect, and Whitney all have been mainstays in the top ten, look for them to add key pieces to their roster as early as this weekend at Top Times to test the water prior to the outdoor season.
