CHICAGO- Gately Track & Field Stadium continues to make it known that it wants to be a true track & field destination. After some barn-burning high school competition, it's time for elite-level collegiate and former collegiate action to take place.

But this is not going to be your run-of-the-mill collegiate meet with a few professional runners within the event log. Not when you have Olympians like Zach Ziemek in the field. The former Lake Park HS product and Univesity of Wisconsin standout and Olympian is here.

Wisconsin footballer great Ron Dayne who won the 1999 Heisman Trophy is expected to be in the building as an ambassador.

But the reason to cheese real big is the MILE. The most fabled and revered event in indoor track and field is under assault. Olympian Cole Hocker and Cooper Teare are in town and will go after the American Men's record 3:49.89. They will be chasing Bernard Lagat's record. Interestingly, Lagat will be in attendance as a coach with the University of Arizona.
