The narrative:  The cards have been played and we all see your hand, now what?

Winnebago will enter Charleston as the team to beat. The Indians ran roughshod over the competition at their sectional- more than doubling up #10 Rockford Christian in the team scores 163-76. The 'Bagos move along with top distance runners Natalia Martino, Sophia Martino, Kaylee Woolery, and Grace Erb will do the bulk work. Hopefully, they will be able to scrape together some points in the field events to muster past the 50-point total. If not, look forward to watching top-flight relays: 4x2, 4x4, and 4x8 go to work.

Belleville Althoff moves into the state trophy mix on the strength of Nariah Parks and Alaina Lester. Parks is the defending state champion in the 400 and is the top seed once again. Lester is strong in the 100 and long jump.

St. Joe-Ogden knows about being a state champion program after winning it all several seasons ago. Senior Atleigh Hamilton will lead a strong force again. She will contest the long jump again as well as the 100, 400, and a relay.

Gracie Jessup, Brynlee Keeran, and Shelby McGee are powerful forces for Salt Fork. The hurdles and jumps area will be a heavily monitored area in Charleston.
