The Top 5 Distance Girls To Watch During The Outdoor Season

Katrina Schlenker (Jr., Batavia)

-"Let's not call it a comeback..." but the truth of the matter is Schlenker has gotten back to her fiery ways on the competition field. Presumably, her past injuries are behind her, the confidence from the cross country passed on to the indoor circuit as evidence by some pretty swift marks. Schlenker dropped a personal best 3200m (US#9 10:31.81) in a winning effort at the Showcase. Also, her 4:54.80 was the 15th best time in the country.

More importantly, Schlenker is having fun again as evidenced here at the CYUP Misfits Invite. The competition had better hope Schlenker doesn't stay happy this spring and summer.
